My fight with my weight is a never-ending battle.

When I found myself facing 200 pounds on the scales, I knew it was time to get serious about fighting back against my weight gain. I’m 5’9″. People had been telling me for years, “Oh, you’re tall. You hide your weight well. It stretches out.” Then one day I finally realized that those words were false comfort. I was overweight – almost obese – according to my BMI. It was time to fight back! What finally worked for me was two things: getting educated on proper nutrition and finding an exercise program I actually enjoyed. Now I am paying it forward as a health and fitness coach. I share many low-calorie, healthy recipes on my blog, and I encourage others to make their nutrition a lifestyle change. You can’t slip back into those old eating habits! I also help people find a workout program that they enjoy. Having exercise you like to do greatly increases the chance that you’ll actually do it!
